A new rumor has emerged about iOS 8 supporting split screen multitasking for iPads only. This is a big departure from Steve Jobs simplicity, while this doesn’t feel very Apple like, there could be some huge advantages like the ability to drag and drop pictures or even files if they add the Finder application for iOS 8.
This would match the same capabilities that Samsung and Microsoft have with multitasking but again Steve Jobs would never compare Apple to those companies and while this is still a rumor it would show that Tim Cook is starting to move away from what has made Apple so successful in the past.
There was a jailbroken tweak that was released last month that allows users to multitask on the iPad and while it looks cool, the practicality of if it is only so-so.

We will definitely find out more in the coming weeks with WWDC coming up from June 2nd to the 6th, this rumor is most likely has a 30% chance of happening.
Would you use split screen in iOS 8 or would it be a useless feature?
