Well, looks like we can finally see Apple’s new datacenter from space. Newly updated Google map pictures show us the huge facility.
The speculation is that on Monday, June 6th, Steve Jobs will announce the new iCloud service and it’s expected to have some of the following features.
- Syncs with your iphone or ipad to know your music, so while you may not have the music on your phone you will have access to it from the cloud.
- Backup your data to the cloud, contacts and appointments (like the existing mobileme service)
- Activation from the cloud with your Apple ID. This is just speculation by us but we think that this will happen. Nothing is worse than getting your new apple device only to realize before you can use it that you will have to sync it with a computer.
- Movie service, like a streaming netflix to your device.
These are just some of the features we are speculating that it will have. The main question will be the price. Will they have the same price as mobileme of $99/year or will it be free like Amazon and Google are going to offer.
What is your take? Do you think Apple will be charging for this?
