Apple has publicly acknowledged that some iPhone 5S models have been affected by a battery issue which is causing them to be drained extremely quickly.
Apple told the New York Times that some handsets are affected and they released the following statement.
“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life,” said Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman. “We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone”
An exact number of iPhone 5S that have been affected hasn’t been given, but Apple would likely not have released a statement and issued a recall if it was only a small percentage. So far my experience has been phenomenal battery life, with the phone lasting all day with moderate to heavy use.
Is your iPhone 5S battery having issues, please let us know.
